{Get Ready With Me} Metallic Bronze

Before writing this very first beauty post, I would like to clarify firstly that I am nowhere near to an expert on make up. I thought of documenting the make up look that I did from yesterday's event and as I chose a floral number I tried to tone down my make up look with something more subtle that would complement my baju kurung/dress. 

I placed full coverage using Revlon's PhotoReady Makeup SPF 20 Golden Beige, especially under my dark circles, which is a serious drawback to elongated features. If that doesn't give you enough coverage, Maybelline's Angel Fit Perfect Concelear provides you with a fresh, clean look. Mine was in 02 Natural Beige.

With the eyeshadow, I used Urban Decay's Naked 2 palette: a touch of foxy on the lids, shimmer with half baked on the inner and middle lids, apply snake bite on the outer lid and a wash of pistol and busted on the outer crease. I traced a thin winged eyeliner using Revlon ColorStay Liquid Liner 252 Black Brown. A few coats of Dior 'Diorshow Extase' 090 Black mascara and your eyes are complete, appearing open and rested!

The metallic pigments create the impression of radiant glowing skin in which I ended with a dab of MAC Cremesheen Lickable lipstick and a swirl of rosy Desire blush from NARS.

If you want an eye opening glow, go ahead and try this look. Have a great week everyone.

Rizalman for Zalora 2014

Rizalman Ibrahim really outdid himself for this year's Raya collection with clean modern cuts and idyllic Raya-friendly colours. The best part is that he successfully managed to do all of that without straying away from tradition. The lace and plissé number I chose for today's look is more inclined towards simplicity and I felt that it is the right look for the modern and the modest.

Iqah on the other hand, went for a handful of floral prints interspersed among with countless more floral prints in between. Albeit that sounds a bit too much but it works really well on her!

Eid Mubarak!

Phnom Penh welcomes its first day of Eid/Hari Raya today, and I thought of naming my look for today after my favourite book of all time.. Kidding! The skirt that I was supposed to pair with this tailor-made ombre blouse is back in Brunei so I had to make do with whatever I've brought with me. Although any reasonable person would never thought of coming close to wearing skinnies on the first day of Raya, I've officially defied the social norm. Desperate calls for desperate measures!

Ramadan Kareem

Assalamu'alaikum!
Ramadan is coming to an end and last night our family hosted an Iftar dinner at Nagaworld for the Ambassador of Pakistan and Malaysia. The place is located at the heart of Phnom Penh, serving dim sum cuisine which was not only mouth-watering, but it was also a perfect dish to dine with an empty stomach. I thought the restaurant gave a vibrant setting because of the play with colours.

My sister and I decided to wear monochrome as it was simple and applicable to the event. Don't worry we tried our best not to look like a French mime.

I personally think the combination of these two colours are chic! My sister wore a faux-leather blazer with a collared blouse giving her the edgy look. Since black and white shoes are an easy update, black booties was the answer. How effortless does she look?

Pattern is still trending, but jumpsuit? Well I threw in with a sequinned cardigan as well as a leather belt hugging my waist, styled with a pair of classy Lucite heels.

{Summer Diary} Paris + Disneyland

Paris is one of those cities that you don't need a long holiday to marvel at sights and sounds that make up this great capital.

After spending 3 nights in Netherlands, I took a train to Paris with Nona and having arrived late at night at our apartment, I still couldn't believe that we managed to spend time in Disneyland and the city itself within the space of less that 24 hours!

When in Paris, it seems only fitting to secretly fantasise about living in a Woody Allen film and to stroll the grand streets after dark. It is a big fat cliche but once the sun goes down, Paris looks even more lovelier especially with the Eiffel tower lights twinkling and glittering. It's hard not to feel giddy with excitement when standing beneath it! Places not to miss when in Paris: Louvre, Montmartre, Pont des Art & Trocadero. Unfortunately, I didn't have the time to make a trip to Champs Elysees so I wouldn't mind planning a second trip to Paris for a weekend :)

For someone who hasn't been to Disneyland for over 7 years, I had an out of body experience as I walked through the entrance gates. I felt as if I was jumping out of my skin with excitement and it seemed every other person there was feeling the exact same way. I was indeed the happiest during the trip to Disneyland.
