Just a super quick hello. I'm finally back in Brunei and I am super excited to be here to catch up with some friends and my family. Only a few weeks left until I start work so I'm taking as much free time that I have left to do this basically...
Whilst we have all made quick judgements about studying law through our peers and TV series, it is difficult to know what it really does involve – and there’s no shortage of stories out there, from the mostly accurate to the utterly fantastical. This post should debunk a few myths and confirm a few things to ensure you that you are doing the right thing before you send in your application.. but first things first, law is a great subject albeit it is VERY challenging I have not made any regrets of accepting Leicester three years ago to read the subject. 1. There's too many readings Getting past the cliche first, do not expect to get out of tutorials alive without doing the required case readings. Tip: you don't have to read the subject like a novel as this will save you from all-nighters (although this is still nevertheless inevitable) 2. Everyone in your class claim to have brains with bulging IQ points (except for maybe one or two) There's a rat race and guess what? you don't really have to join in! They’re big fish rearing for their chance to rush into the deep blue ocean and overachieve on a yet grander scale and yes, they’ve already done the readings. 3. You will find yourself doing pro bono work for your friends Whilst you would happily explain your knowledge on land law to your friends, you can't help but repeatedly telling them that your best legal advice is to obtain a legal advice from an actual lawyer. 4. Apathetic half way through the semester? That's normal. The idealism often fades.. On the very first day of law school, you want to change the world.. Halfway through your degree, you couldn't even care less. I find it very helpful to watch Ted talks and films that help remind me why I'm passionate about justice in the first place. 5. Save your arguments for your tutorials and essays It will become a common occurrence where you always find yourself in arguments over petty things with your friends and like any law students, we always try to sound smart to win arguments... here's a tip: bite your tongue and walk away because that is the main reason why you're not invited to dinner outings. I had my share of late nights and sacrificing my social life but I can honestly say that studying here for the past 3 years has been well worth the effort. I never thought I could even make it to this far so whatever shit your degree may throw at you just make sure you battle on. love,
Sun drenched blue skies meant the perfect chance for me and my friends to see the Bavarian Alps as I've been wanting to see the Neuschwanstein Castle for quite some time. The castle is made for a Disney movie (which was eventually an inspiration for Sleeping Beauty's) and it is tucked in a perfectly rugged set of hills that offers a stunning view of the Hohenschwangau village. I can draw a list of adjectives that would describe the beauty of the Alps but you really have to see it for yourself. You can read all about it on travel blogs, but being there is a different story. For me, it was the experience of hopping on the 2 hour train ride with scenic views that are postcards worthy, the hike up to see the castle and the friends we made along this journey. The results are worth the costs and the muscle cramps.
In the past week, it has been liberating to scale back from work and instead learn to enjoy quiet luxuries like these as they come. I was fortunate enough to fly with my friend to Ibiza and with little time in between, we managed to fit in one more visit to another neighbouring island, Formentera. With no prior knowledge of the existence of Formentera, we really did not know what to expect besides a few Google images of crystal clear waters and locals telling us that the beach is the best in the world. As soon as we arrived, we knew we made the right decision to buy those ferry tickets :)
Best beaches in Ibiza: There were leafy nooks at every head turn as we got up to the top of the rocks that divided the two creeks; Cala Salada and Cala Saladeta. The only way to get to the latter is by swimming or hiking up the panoramic tracks to get the luscious scenery of the whole place.
Formentera Island:Beautifully rocky coves and intimate hidden beaches are the perfect home to Formentera's crystal clear and turquoise waters of the Mediterranean Sea.Ferries were the only way to get there and getting around the island was quite easy as we cycled our way to the beaches.
You know what the ingredients are for a really good day? In my book, it's making myself busy doing the things that make me happy. Since the start of January, I've been really occupied and I still am with uni applications and course-works that I find it really hard to make time for myself. So I've changed my game-plan and decided to actually use my free-time wisely. With the exception of catching up with Modern Family and Mindy Project, of course. Now I'm finding myself making schedules for things to achieve by the end of each week-like shooting an ootd video with my sister. Which is exactly what we both did. Us being us always sporting a rather potent gravitational field of tomfoolery, we ended up indulging all kinds of tangent like dancing to the macerena resulting to a not-so-serious ootd video.
A lot has asked me about my experience during Bloggers Love Fashion Week- “How was it?” “Did you fall?” “Was it fun?” “What did you wear?” It was great. No, I didn't fall, thankfully. Yes, it was fun. And something comfortable.
Held in a dated studio at Shoreditch, London, BLFW was organised by the lovely Danielle from the Bloggers Love Hub. It’s back with its third season, and although it was a two-day event, I could only make it to Wednesday’s tea party themed event. I thought the area seemed quite dodgy, not where you expect a fashion event to be located. It wasn’t exactly the most fashionable district. Despite that, the studio gave the perfect ambiance: intimacy. Some would disagree due to the overcrowding but I like the fact that there were personal interactions between brands and bloggers which has a much greater impact.
Models were asked to arrive early, so I got the chance to see
brands set up their stations and explore the event before it got busy.
There weren’t any perks of being a VIB (very important blogger) and a model
because by the time the fashion show ended most of the gifts were gifted by
other bloggers. Don't worry I didn't go home empty handed, my gifts consisted of Umberto
Giannini Glam Hair spray and Frizzi serum, two Timeless Truth Bio Celllose
masks, and Slendertoxtea teabags, acai berry slender shake and slender patch. Also goodies included St Kitts Herbery lotion and perfume, and So-cosmetics body
spray. The goodies were far better than LFWend goodies.
My makeup was done by bubbly 18 year old Laurr and I worked with three friendly models, Anita, Misha and Rosemary.
Three designers, Cecille London, Joe Browns and LizaVeta, showcased their SS15 looks and I was
delighted to walk down the runway in 3 outfits per brand. Below is a short

Ever since the beau bought my first Airmax, I’m still trying
to invest in the sports luxe trend. I knew I wanted to wear my Airforce since I would be doing a lot of walking around London. My version of cute co-ords combine a
90s-style tube skirt and checked bralet top. Ultra clean, but I added a bold vivid
outerwear and an embellished clutch because I’m still in love with prints. Something simplistic turned
into a tough edge.
